WebPlanex Loyalty Wallet provides merchants with a loyalty and rewards solution to enhance customer retention and engagement. This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify store or other e-commerce platform.

Information the App Collects

When you install the App, we automatically access certain types of information from your store account (such as customer, order, and store details) necessary to operate the loyalty and rewards features.

Access via Google/Gmail Connection (Gmail API)

When a merchant connects a Gmail account, the App accesses the connected email address and uses the /auth/gmail.send scope.

This access is solely to enable the sending of transactional emails related to the merchant’s store activity (for example, loyalty rewards notifications or order confirmations).

No other Gmail data (such as inbox contents or email metadata) is accessed or stored.

How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We use the information collected from your store and connected services to operate and enhance the App’s core functionalities, such as managing loyalty points, sending rewards, and maintaining customer engagement.

Specific Use of Google User Data

The email address and access token obtained via the Gmail API are used exclusively to send transactional, non-marketing emails (such as loyalty updates or order confirmations) on behalf of the merchant, as initiated through the App.

The App’s use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Sharing Your Personal Information

We do not share your personal information with any third parties except as necessary to provide our core App functionality (for example, with Shopify or other platforms used by your store).

Specifically, Google user data (including the connected Gmail address and any email-related content) is never shared, sold, rented, or transferred to any third party for marketing, advertising, or any purpose other than providing the App’s core email functionality.

Data Security and Protection

We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption and secure server storage, to protect all personal information.

This includes the secure storage of the merchant’s Google OAuth access token and connected email address to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

Data Retention

We maintain your order information and all associated personal data (including the connected Google account information) only for as long as the App remains installed on your store.

Data Deletion

When a merchant uninstalls the App, we automatically remove all collected customer, order, and personal data, including any connected Google data, from our servers within 14 days. Uninstallation serves as the merchant’s request for data deletion.

Rights of Individuals

We are not sharing any information of any individual other than Shopify Store owner. Whenever merchant un-installs the app, we remove their product information and the personal information of the store from our servers within 14 days. So, if any Store owner wishes to remove their personal information, they will have to remove the app.
